Manage your vehicle alerts

This section allows you to view and manage alerts related to your vehicles. It is divided into three key categories:

  • Geo/Chrono Alerts: Displays alerts triggered by Geofence or Chronofence events. You will see the alert name, the specific vehicle, and the timestamp of the event.

  • Vehicle Alerts: Displays critical alerts regarding vehicle health and safety. These are classified as:

    • DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code): Indicates a potential issue detected by the vehicle's onboard diagnostics.

    • Warning Light: Signals an issue based on specific sensor readings (e.g., low oil pressure, check engine light).

    • Crash: Notifies you of a detected collision event.

    • Battery: Informs you of potential battery issues, such as low voltage or malfunction.

  • Other Alerts: Displays informative alerts regarding connection and setup, including:

    • Connection: Indicates issues with the vehicle connecting to the system.

    • Bad Installation: Alerts of a potential issue with how the device was installed.

    • Different VIN: Notifies you if an incompatible Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is detected.

Alert List Overview

The alerts list provides a central hub for monitoring all active alerts. Each entry includes:

  • Alert Type: Identifies the nature of the issue.

  • Vehicle: Specifies which vehicle triggered the alert.

  • Status: Shows the current state (e.g., Active, Resolved).

  • Date Appeared: Shows when the alert first occurred.

Filters: You can filter by Status or Type to quickly focus on specific issues.

Alert Details

Clicking an alert from the list opens a detailed view containing:

  • Alert Attributes: Last time seen, first time seen, creation date, and total duration.

  • Vehicle & Device Info: Located on the right side of the screen, providing direct links to the specific Vehicle and Device pages.

Managing Alert Feedback

To ensure system accuracy, you can provide feedback on any alert:

  • Validation: Use the "Thumbs Up" icon to validate the alert and acknowledge its accuracy.

  • Report Issues: If an alert seems inaccurate, use the "Thumbs Down" icon. This opens a form where you can enter:

    • Date and time of appearance (optional).

    • Alert level (via a dropdown menu).

    • Reporter role (Driver, Technician, Vehicle Owner).

    • Click "Confirm" to submit your report.
